Hot sprites, cool tech and a logo


Been holding off on sharing the running animation until some work was finished in town.
Stella's cape is animated beautifully by Maria



When outside, Stella runs about.
But when inside she walks.
Her mama taught her manners.


In this video you can see a spattering of Maria's amazing NPC's Along side of bunch of tech work Drew's been working on.

We now have a generic entity in LDTKImage
Where we can declare...

  • FPS
  • Layer
  • Collision
  • Dialogue
  • & a 1 time interaction Emoji. Think quest giver style.

One of the things you wouldn't think of on the first pass is making sure the logic is correct to allow you to walk behind an NPC.


Changing the depth of the player depending on if they are above an NPC or below it. 
That took a little thinking to do.

And as you could see in the gifs above,  we have two types of NPC.

  • Standard NPC's bob away and turn to face you when you speak to them. Then return to a default facing.
  • Unique NPCs don't turn but have cool animations.

Settings easily applied in editor.

We finally have a logo!


Original concept was done by Rae on the discord server.
Then it got further updated and refined by my friend Steph.
Still playing around with the colours but it works really well at Pulp's 2x resolution.

The team really enjoyed the book animations I shared last time.
Since then we're matured our understanding for how the book will be used. Which lead to this fun idea.

Finally, I'm holding off on sharing too much of Will's writing.
But maybe next time we'll be able to show off some other stuff he has cooking.
